Your viewing a 1961 Chevy Corvair 700 Lakewood Wagon with a Powerglide transmission and 95HP engine.

It's odometer reads 140,000 miles which is believed to be true.  The engine and transmission  are in excellent condition.  The carbs have been rebuilt and tuned nice.  Along with the internal (stone) fuel filters, inline paper filters have also been added.  A set of new wires, plugs (NGK), rotor, cap and the addition of an electronic ignition make this engine hum.  The 2 speed Powerglide transmission has been drained and the pan removed and cleaned.  A new gasket and fresh fluid along with a new vacuum modulator and line make the transmission performs like new.

The rear axles have been replaced and are smooth and quite.  The differential has been drain and new axles seals have been installed.

The fuel system systems has been cleaned and a new gas tank and sender unit have been installed and as mentioned inline paper filters have been added.

The brake shoes were replaced last year and the two (2) front wheel cylinders have been rebuilt.  Front wheel bearings (inner and outer) have been cleaned, repacked and set.  They're smooth and quite.  The shocks (all 4) are good and perform good. The right front ball joint feels alittle loose but while driving shows no sign (like metal hitting metal) of wear but may want to consider replacing both lower eventually.

All in all its a great little wagon that will take you anywhere with no worry.  Although it may not be shinny and pretty, it is mechanically great.

Cosmetically the car (depending on your preference) will need some body work.  The front and rear floor boards have been replaced with some added steel reinforced braces running side to side under the front and rear seats making this a structurally tight little wagon.  Structural modifications do not blemish the original look of the floor boards.

Thanks for viewing my car.  Yes, unfortunately there is rust and rust holes in the bottom of each front fender, under the doors on both sides and a small amount on the rear fenders.

But as mentioned in the ad this rust in pure cosmetic, structurally the underside of the car has been replaced with new floors and steel reinforcement rails running side to side, front to back making it very strong.

Please feel free to review the PICS again and ask any questions you may have.  The car runs and drives very well and is tough!  She may not be pretty but will take you anywhere you need to go without worry.
